Managing projects in the Sahel regions of Africa is currently facing several challenges. Apart from economic and financial hemorrhage, climate change’s intricacies further worsen Africa’s plights for project destinations. Whilst the unsustainable democratic gains over the years have been pronounced, the lack of policy inconsistencies further derailed project investments. Youth unemployment and general well-being in the Sahel required urgent private sector initiatives to mitigate across the value chain of project management for the Sahel regions.
Your task is to propose a new project that capable of creating jobs and meeting national agenda. You could relate this to a past project or a project in progress; however, in the latter case, you need to assume that you have been provided with the opportunity to re-plan the project towards better project performance on cost and within schedule.
Write a report about your project. Your report must include:
A brief description of the organizational setting and project environment to ensure the reader understands the context in which the project is set. An outline of the objectives of the project and the importance of the project to the organization and project stakeholders. An outline of the scope statement, project priorities and work breakdown structure (WBS), which can serve as a sound basis for planning other aspects of the project. A detailed overview and analysis of aspects of the project using project management concepts, tools, and techniques taught in this subject; some of them may be more important to your particular project than others. Your project must highlight at least three to four Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) likely to impact your National Development Agenda.
You should focus your analysis on at least three topics from the following list:
1. Developing the project plan,
2. Scheduling project resources and costs of project risk and
3. Change control of monitoring project time
4. Stakeholder engagement and risks that might influence your project
Please note that any stand-alone appendices will not contribute towards your grade unless you have outlined the key aspects of their content in the body of the report and used them to form the basis of your arguments.
