NKWANTA CONFLICT IN OTI REGION, GHANA Ghana is a relatively peaceful country compared to its neighbours in West Africa. However, the country is confronted with recurring ethnic conflicts in different part of the country. One of these conflicts is the Nkwanta conflict in the Oti region. The conflict is rooted in historical tensions and rivalries over issues of traditional leadership, land ownership, and cultural recognition between the Adeles, Akyodes and the Challas.
