A recruitment consultant has headhunted you to apply for a role working for a national tourism office (NTO). As part of the recruitment process, the NTO has asked each candidate to give a presentation about tourism policy in their own country, or a destination in which they have worked. You are being asked to give this presentation in a formal setting.

In your presentation you should:
● Evaluate the different approaches to tourism policy that can be taken.
● Summarise the historical development of tourism policy.
● Analyse the multi-scalar nature of contemporary tourism policy.
● Appraise a range of tourism policy instruments that are used in the country you have chosen
● Analyse the issues involved in implementing tourism policies in the country you have chosen
● Evaluate the implementation of tourism policies in the country you have chosen

Delivery and Submission
The submission is in the form of a presentation with 500 words of speaker notes to be submitted for assessment.

The presentation time is 15 minutes.

Your presentation should include images and other visual elements to enhance its impact.

Task 2 of 2
You have been successful in your application for the role in the national tourism office (NTO). In your new role, you have been asked to work on developing a new plan for the development of an existing tourism destination. For the purposes of this assessment, you can choose the destination that you are working on.

Your report should:
● Evaluate the different approaches to tourism planning.
● Assess how the external environment influences tourism planning in the destination you have chosen.
● Propose how one approach to tourism planning can be applied in your chosen destination
● Include a tourism plan document
● Include a plan for the evaluation of the plan over a 3 year period.

Delivery and Submission
Your work should be presented in report format.
The word limit for this assessment is 3000 words, excluding references.
